Gamers have reported that the game will cap at 30 frames per second but runs at an average of 24 frames per second. The lag however did not go away, the game was stuck at 24 frames per second. People discovered this as they lowered the settings to try and fix a lag problem. 24 frames per second is fine for a lot of games… but it’s not good for tactical RTS games. The game has the same crashing issue that the original had.īut that’s not all! Neocore (the people who make this game) capped the game at 24 frames per second. So I decided I would wait a little bit to see whether King Arthur 2 would be worthwhile, as it turns out… its not. When I downloaded the original it had horrible awful crashing issues. I downloaded King Arthur: The Role-Playing Wargame in anticipation of its sequel. The Deluxe version, which has all four knights available for play and the above features, was sold, but in September 2009, MVP Software made the Deluxe version freeware. What can I say, I love RTS games. The unregistered version only allows to play as one of the knights, does not have the highest difficulty level, jousting tournaments, emergency taxes, and does not allow to invoke Merlin's spells. The player can also build fortifications, manage taxation and even personally take part in jousting tournaments to win gold, glory or control over new domains. Conquering more land increases income and the number of troops that may be raised for further conquests. The main screen represents the map of Britain, with each knight starting with one territory, while most other neutral and poorly defended. There are three other pretenders, and only one can emerge victorious. The player takes on the role of one of King Arthur's knights of the round table who must unite Britain after Arthur's demise. is a turn-based strategy game that is very similar to Cinemaware's Defender of the Crown.
